In observance of National Stroke Awareness Month and to encourage community awareness of stroke, its warning signs and tips for prevention, South Texas Health System – home to the Valley’s most expansive stroke care network – presents Steps for Stroke.
During this virtual week-long challenge, participants will commit to walk, run or even dance their way to a minimum of 10,000 steps per day and 50,000 steps total within the timeframe specified (May 22-30). A pedometer will be included in your registration packet for you to keep track of your steps, and you’ll be able to log them on our official challenge website.
