Advanced Cancer Treatment

Oncologists at South Texas Health System (STHS) McAllen provide advanced cancer treatment for both adult and geriatric patients. The 27-bed oncology unit provides a comprehensive range of services, including treatment for many types of cancers, such as breast cancer, lung cancer and more. We also care for patients recovering from treatment. This includes patients who need surgery, who have symptoms that require further evaluation during their hospital stay, and those who are receiving cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Patients who need cardiac care or closer respiratory observation are transferred to the Intensive Critical Care Unit.
